Terms of Baptisms and Weddings in the parishes of the Greek Orthodox Patriarchate of Jerusalem

On the territory of the State of Israel, the only church that has the right to perform ordinances of baptisms and weddings for the citizens of Israel, is the Jerusalem Orthodox Patriarchate.

Parishioners of the Monastery of st. John the Baptist in Ein Karem, or people who wish to join the parish, should contact father Nikolay (Kulinsky) who is responsible for working with the Russian-speaking community.

After a short interview, the person that wishes to be baptized will be assigned a date for the the Sacrament, and the couple that wishes to get married will be directed to the Jerusalem Ecclesiastical Court to sign the necessary documents.
